چکیده
Traditional rice (Oryza sativa L.) landraces provide many essential genes for improving yield, disease resistance, abiotic stress tolerance, and other parameters future breeding. This study aimed to analyze the genetic diversity determine phylogenetic position of traditional from tidal swamp areas South Kalimantan, Indonesia, compared germplasm, including wild relatives, obtained GenBank database, using a cpDNA-rbcL marker. In this case, six region were collected analyzed molecularly rbcL marker with 16 similar others 25 relatives database. The germplasm was determined nucleotide index (?), whereas analysis by maximum likelihood bootstrap 1 000 replicates. principal component (PCA) employed confirm grouping. Based on marker, have 0.38, lower than intra-species inter-species levels, i.e., 0.44 0.83, respectively. shows that has separated most O. cultivars their except ‘GBVN’ ‘NARC’ (comparison GenBank). information substantial implications breeding conservation efforts, locally globally.

Rice has been cultivating and utilizing by humans for thousands of years under diverse environmental conditions. Therefore, tremendous genetic differentiation and diversity has occurred at various agro-ecosystems. The significant indica-japonica differentiation in rice provides great opportunities for its genetic improvement. In the present investigation, a total of 42 polymorphic InDel markers...

The molecular marker is a useful tool for assessing genetic variations and resolving cultivar identities. Information on genetic diversity and relationships among rice landraces from Bangladesh is currently very limited. Genetic diversity of 40 traditional Bangladeshi rice genotypes was studied under rainfed condition through Mahalanobis D statistic for grain yield and yield contributing characters. The genotypes were grouped into six clusters. The inter-cluster distances were higher than intra-cluster distances indicating wider genetic diversity among the genotypes of different clusters. The intra-cluster dist...

Random amplified polymorphic DNA fingerprinting was performed to assess the genetic diversity among rarely cultivated traditional indica rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties collected from a tribal hamlet of Kerala State, India. A total of 664 DNA bands amplified by 15 primers exhibited 72.9% polymorphism (an average of 32.3 polymorphic bands per primer). The varieties Jeerakasala and Kalladiyaran ...
